Some Christmas Art

We had a wonderful art session today, making angels, Christmas tree decorations or cards and Nativity scenes.  We did a lovely job of all the Christmas artwork today.

Christmas Musicals

We really enjoyed today's Christmas musical produced by Ms. Fitzgerald's and Ms. Lane's Junior Infant classes.

You were just wonderful altogether.

Well done!

We were also treated to another superb musical from Ms. Connolly's class.

What great actors and musicians.

Recorder Recital

Well done to the children from Ms. Cunningham's and Ms. McLoughlin's classes who played so well at today's recital.  All the practising at home and at school really paid off.

Musical Touch

We can use our bodies to conduct electricity.

 We can make music when we make a circuit to allow the electricity travels through our bodies.

Push and pull toys

We made a Santa toy today.

It is a toy that uses forces (push and pull) to work.

We can make Santa go up and down the chimney by pushing and pulling the skewer.

Sewing puppets

We are sewing puppets.

We can't wait to decorate them and see how they turn out.

 

 

Advent wreaths

Advent is a time to prepare for the birth of Jesus.

We have an advent wreath in class.

It has 3 purple candles on it (for hope, love and peace) and a pink candle (for joy) and a white candle (for the birth of Jesus).

We light one candle a week until Christmas time.

Today we made some advent wreaths of our own.

They will look very nice when they are finished.
