Sheep prints

Look at the gorgeous sheep we printed today.
Can you guess how we made them?
We used stencils for the sheep bodies, our thumb and fingers for their faces and ears,
we used lolly sticks for their legs and for the stems of the flowers, and our fingerprints for the daffodils and the suns.

Sorting instruments into beaters, shakers or scrapers!

We took out the instruments we had in class and spoke about how we made each instrument make a sound. Then we sorted the instruments into 3 categories - shakers (if we had to shake them), beaters (if we had to beat or strike them), and scrapers if we had to scrap them (such as a guiro).

Pop up flowers for Mother's Day

We are making a surprise for Mother's Day from toilet roll holders.
They will be beautiful, just like our mums!
To get the flowers to grow, just push the stem, to make the flower shrink just pull the stem.
Our very own forces (push and pull) toys!

Making clocks

Now that we can tell the time all we needed were clocks to practise on.
We made some gorgeous clocks today.

St. Patrick

We are learning about St. Patrick and getting ready for St. Patrick's day.
We have painted and made our headbands so we can support our Senior School Band whenever they go marching past.

Here are some stories to help us understand about the life of St. Patrick:
