We love working with clay. Today we did lots of things with clay. We pinched it, squeezed, rolled, squashed, molded, and made clay pinch pots (which we didn't leave to dry this time), and fantastic animals, which will dry on the window sill and which we can paint next week. Have a look at our work:

St. Patrick's Day art

Today we spent the morning doing art. We painted flags for St. Patricks Day. We learned about the colours of the Irish flag and we painted the flags. We painted shamrocks as well. We are going to see the children from the Senior School tomorrow as they will be marching down Renmore. We can't wait to see them and we will wave our flags as they march past.

What Makes a Rainbow, Room 1, Junior Infants

This week we listened to the story " What make a Rainbow? " It was a story about a little rabbit who wanted to know what makes a rainbow. He asked all his animal friends and they told him by naming all the colours......red, orange, yellow, indigo, blue, violet and green. When we see a rainbow it means a rain shower is on the way. We painted rainbows in school this week.
